Kansas City Wedding Photographer | Natasha McGuire Photography » Weddings, engagements and portrait photographer in Kansas City.

I had such a great time photographing this beautiful Indian wedding in Overland Park, KS! I photographed a long side Mariam Saifan Photography at the Marriott in Overland Park. I always encourage my couples to hire a second shooter for their wedding. I’m happy to share some of the photos I captured as the second shooter. Take a look and see the benefits of a second photographer! Floral by A&L Floral Design. I love this gold rectangular box used for a centerpiece for the groom’s family table!

Dramatic stage decor with lots of gold, pink and purple!

Three tired round wedding cake with fresh flowers including a pink peony, purple roses, light pink garden rose and a pink lily! Round yellow, red and blue groom’s cake! The cake table was decorated with rose petals and tea candles.

Love all the gold decor and accents.

Detail shot of the rose flower garland.

This wedding was a photographer’s dream with all of the beautiful purple and pink details! Tall rectangular programs and ornate cake stands.

Candy favors for the guests! Happily Ever After in gold lettering on the favors. Tall gold programs, purple rose napkins, tall gold vases for the white and purple roses, pink lilies and green silver dollar eucalyptus fill leaves.

Gold and white furniture on the stage for the ceremony with super tall floral arrangements. I love the half opened lily in the centerpiece below. Even the chair ribbons were purple!

Lots of cake detail photos!

Pink curtains with purple up lighting.

Impressive ballroom at the Marriott in Overland Park, KS.

Cocktail hour begins with the brother of the bride getting pinned with is boutonniere.

All of the guests were dressed so beautifully!

The groom and his family preparing for his arrival to the ceremony.

Groom details!

The groom’s processional begins with a drummer!

The bride’s family has stopped them at the door! A tray of money is offered and accepted! A young boy and girl in the groom’s processional.

The beautiful bride holding back tears as her groom approaches.

A special drink ceremony.

The rose flower garland exchange.

The ring exchange.

The Ruksmati, is a tradition when you exchange garlands, sweet drinks and first look in the mirror as a married couple. They were asked to tell everyone what they see in the mirror.

Extending his hand to his new bride as they head over to the cake table.

I love these special moments.

Beautiful guests!

The food tasted great too!

Spontaneous posing from these fine gentlemen!

Natasha is a St Louis MO Family Photographer. This extended family session was taken at Bee Tree Park in Oakville, MO. We photographed Kim and her family which included her husband, two daughters, her son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Her grandchildren are ages 10 and 5. We had a great time exploring and moving around the park during their session. We were so happy to find beautiful purple and pink trees at the park. The images at the end of their session were perfectly sun-kissed as we approached sunset and the park closing time! Please take a peek at their images below!

Engagement photos are so much fun! I absolutely love getting to spend time with my couples prior to their wedding day! I also love when couples chose a location that has meaning to them! In this case it was their family cabin in Hannibal, MO! What a gorgeous location! Let’s start with some golden hour images just outside of the cabin:

I love real laughs and romantic photos too!

We made sure and got some images outside of the stone cabin as well.

What a beautiful engagement ring!

In the photo below, we made sure and captured the beautiful skies as well as the beautiful couple by using off camera flash (OCF).

My couples receive a copy of each image in color as well as in black and white!

Amazing location in Hannibal, MO! Love the rolling hills behind them!

Just look at the way they look at each other!

So serious. Just kidding!

I love moving around your engagement shoot location! In the images below  we put the sun behind the couple. They have that beautiful glow around them!

We worked with the breeze for that perfect wind blown hair!

Their family cabin is so cool! Such a great engagement photo shoot location!

It’s so fun to play with engagement rings! We put her ring on this container full of feathers!

Real laughs are so wonderful!

We made sure and captured some inside images as well! Beautiful farmhouse decor too!

They enjoy spending weekends at their family cabin!

Walking down the drive at their cabin!

Stopping for a kiss on the way back!

He had to include the ruins in some images as well!

Candid photos are always a favorite!

This tree was planted on their property years and years ago!

This image was taken at the same location! I gave it a modern vibe by whiting out the skies! Something unique and different!

Grabbed some solo shots too!

Making each other laugh! So great to see!

That cabin is such a good backdrop!

I had such a great evening with Danette and Rob. I didn’t want it to end! I hope you enjoyed viewing their engagement photos just as much as I enjoyed taking them! Email me with your engagement session location ideas! natasha@natashamcguire.com

There needs to be more mom and daughter photos in the world! Life is so busy and mom is usually the busiest! She’s usually the one taking the photos! I highly recommend scheduling some time to meet up at my studio! I just loved capturing these mother and daughter studio portraits! Here are some ideas that I shared with them for planning what outfits to bring:

An outfit that you feel fabulous in! An outfit that is special occasion and that you might not get the chance to wear often! An outfit that has movement, like flowy skirts/dresses. A light colored outfit. (White/Neutrals) A dark colored outfit. Something timeless like a solid white or solid black top with sleeves. I wouldn’t worry about trying to bring shoes for each outfit, unless you have shoes that you love and want to show off.

It’s also great to pair outfits together that compliment each other. I am happy to help with outfit selections. I really enjoy it! Email me at: natasha@natashamcguire.com. Let me know if you’d like studio or outdoor portraits or even a mix of both!
